Our first-ever 72-hole Golf Challenge takes place on 16th June 2023, with all proceeds in aid of Bury Cancer Support Centre. Coinciding with Bury Cancer Support Centre’s 20th anniversary celebrations, our Golf Challenge will be one of the most exciting events in our calendar this year.

Participating golfers will tee-off in the early morning, before driving, chipping and putting all day, in a bid to finish four whole rounds of golf before nightfall.
With sunset at approximately 9.40pm, the race will be on to finish the Challenge – before it finishes them!
We’ve been proud to be a charity partner of Bury Cancer Support Centre for more than 10 years. Please read below a statement from Bury Cancer Support Centre manager Jan Katana on what support from the Financial Options Group Charitable Foundation has meant for the Centre…
“After Financial Options Group purchased the building, which we had hoped to secure for our new premises, we were able to take our service to another level.”
“Several years ago, when our previous premises became unfit for purpose, we approached Financial Options Group about a building we were interested in. Immediately they agreed to take a look at it – and within 48 hours we had a confirmation on our new 'home'.
Since that time, the building has made the world of difference to the services we offer to our patients – with proper access, proper parking, and a homely and welcoming feel.
As a result, we have been able to provide a secure site in which to welcome patients and to deliver services in the way we set out to do – and we’ve been able to expand and grow.
Donations from the Financial Options Group have also enabled us to host our annual Christmas parties, where we invite our patients and anyone who has been bereaved to come and join us. And, during the Covid lockdowns, our food deliveries and online “supper clubs” were essential to monitoring our patients’ physical and psychological wellbeing. The Foundation helped us with funding for these programmes and events, and this has made a tremendous difference to our patients.
We know that the Financial Options Group recognise and value what we do, and that is something truly beneficial to us. We are so pleased that they are hosting a Golf Challenge to help us mark our milestone anniversary. This is going to be a real celebration of how far we have come, having started 20 years ago and coming through a pandemic. There will be a wide array of fundraising events, so please visit our Facebook page to learn more.”
